Port Pirie Greyhound Racing Club

Port Pirie Greyhound Racing Club is situated in Phoenix Park, which is centred in the city area off The Terrace. The track has a sand surface and a cable lure system.

Bookmakers operate at this venue and there are TAB facilities. Car parking is available inside the grounds. There are no camping facilities for traveling trainers, but kennels are available for their greyhounds.

Public trials are conducted on Sunday mornings at 8.30am and Tuesday evenings when required at 5.00pm, (6.00pm daylight saving). Half field and solo trials are conducted over all distances and are into the pen or onto the arm.

Races are held every Sunday (twilight meetings). During winter, some Non-TAB meetings are day meetings.

Greyhounds must be kenneled no later than 30 min before first race. The kennel block is air conditioned and all kennels are at floor level.

Trials are held Sunday when there is no race meeting starting at 9.00am (during daylight savings - 10.00am non daylight savings). Trials are also held after Non-TAB meetings. Qualifying trials are held on Sunday's before meeting.
