The Gardens Greyhound Racing Track

The Gardens Greyhound Racing Track is located along Sandgate Road, Wallsend, New South Wales. It is about 150 kilometers from Sydney.

To get to The Gardens Greyhound Racing Track, drive North on the F3, take the Link Rd turnoff to Newcastle and follow for approximately 5 km's. Follow the signs to Newcastle and turn left at the sixth roundabout, Douglas Street. Follow to the end and turn right onto Sandgate Road. The Gardens is approximately 100m on the left.

Adults and pensioners are admitted to the track for $7.00 and $4.00 respectively while children under 16 years old are admitted for free.

The National Coursing Association conduct greyhound racing at The Gardens on a Friday between 4pm and 7pm, most Wednesday nights, and each Saturday afternoon.

The track has a loam surface and a cable lure system is installed. Restuarant and bar facilities are available for the enjoyment of patrons, whilst there is also a licensed club on site.

Kennels will open 70 minutes prior to the first race and will close 30 minutes before the first race for both Wednesday and Friday meetings.

Trials are held every Monday afternoon (Public), Tuesday morning (Private) and Thursday morning (Public).
