Morphettville Racecourse

Morphettville Racecourse is located at Morphett Road Morphettville South Australia.

Morphettville now has 2 race tracks, Morphettville Parks Track and Allan Scott Park Morphettville Track.

The new Parks track has a circumference of 2100 metres and a width of 25 metres with the finishing straight 320 metres long. The number of starters per race can accommodate 14 runner run over distances between 1000 and 2400 metres, while hurdle and steeple races can be run over 3000 and 3350 metres respectively.

The South Australian Jockey Club is South Australia's premier racing club, playing host to 65 days of racing action throughout the year at Allan Scott Park Morphettville. The club has a membership of around 2000, and employs 75 full-time and more than 400 casual staff.

It has a circumference of 2,339 metres with a 334 metres straight. An excellent fair open race course giving all horses an even chance of winning.

The South Australian Jockey Club can now conduct approx 70 racing meetings in the year now it has the two tracks.

The major events held including The Adelaide Cup, Australasian Oaks and Robert Sangster Stakes in March and Group 1 SA Derby and the Goodwood Handicap in May.
