Stony Creek Racecourse is best known as the site of "Triple treat at the Creek - 1987", referring to the finish of the Rod Carmichael Handicap. The judges of the day could not distinguish who won between Fast Seal, Mr Spectre and Chesterfield and declared a triple dead heat.
